"Casa Maca is definately a great bed & breakfast. I visited this place with my mother, who is always very fussy when it comes to cleanliness but
she immediately fell in love with the place. When she sat down for the first time, she said: "This is a real holiday", and that's about the biggest
compliment a place can get from her. The room was clean and light with separate beds and a balcony. Two showers were available, of which one was not
working perfectly by the way. Two minor downsides, sound isolation is not perfect (but it's located in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, so that's not
the bigest deal) and the breakfast was nothing special. There were plenty of things to choose from (There was bread, cheese, meat, honey, chocolate
paste, cereals, milk, yoghurt, coffee, tea and even some sweet pastries). However, the bread was not that tasty and with a total of 7 people we had
to share 8 slices of ham. The girl who has working there was not overfriendly, but she was correct and helpful, which is by far the most important thing.
The B&B is located in between the city centre and the famour Sagrada Familia and both can be reached by foot. A metrostation and bus stop are also pretty
much next to the B&B. I cannot say anything about the price, since I booked it as a package deal, but if it's not too expensive, I would recommend this for
everyone. It's just a wonderful place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. And several details made it just slightly more luxurious than many other places."

"We returned home safe after our stay of 5 days in Baecelona. And yes, we have enjoyed every moment of it. We had been in Barcelona twice before,
but only with excursions of one day during our holidays in Salou. It was also the first time for us in a B&B, so we did not know what to expect.
But the B&B Casanova was much more and better than we expected. The very cosy and clean house, the monumental building, the very vivid environment.
And very close to the centre of the city. The only thing that was a little unpracticle for us, was the small bed. But after the first 2 nights,
it did not matter anymore. Thanks Fabiola for your enthusiasm and patience to give us all the information we needed. It is pity we didnot meet
Carla, but I am sure that she is as kind and nice as you. We will for sure return to Barcelona once more and we certainly recommend your B&B to our friends.

"Hoop dat jullie dit adres behouden! De locatie ligt prachtig centraal! De eigenaars of de twee vrouwen die het runnen waren aardig.
Verblijf was zeer schoon. Een douche werkte niet helemaal goed, dun straaltje water maar vooral de ongedwongen sfeer sprak ons zeer aan!
Zelf je ontbijt pakken wanneer het jou uitkomt, heerlijk! Ik vind het echter niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen, dat zou mogelijk overlast
kunnen geven. Ik was er samen met mijn dochter van 20 jaar."

"This b and b is located in a wonderful area of barcelona, safe even late at night. You can easily reach the main attractions in barcelona thanks to the subway.
The place was spotless, the rooms were spacious and silent. Bathroom is to share but we never had problems. Maybe a mirror in the room would be a nice thing. :)
I would suggest this place to' everyone, especially to' girls since it is all pink ;)"

"Il B&B si trova nel quartiere Garcia, bellissiam zona di Barcellona. Piena di attivitŕ, locali, ristornati e piazzette da vivere. Il quartiere č molto tranquillo e vivibile. Il B&B, č in una posizione comoda, da cui ci si puň spostare bene sia a piedi, che con gli autobu o i mezzi. Il mio consiglio, se come me andate con un bambino e quindi con passeggino e annessi, č di prendere il taxi per gli sposatemnti piů lunghi. I costi alla fine sono uguali ai vari biglietti metro-bus. Dal B&b, a piedi si raggiunge tranquillamente la ramblas, con una bella passeggiata. IL B&B, č comodissimo, bello, spazioso, pulito, silenzioso. Unico neo č il non avere il bagno in camera, ma per brevi soggiorni 3/4 giorni se ne puň fare a meno. Ci sono due grandi bagni in comune con gli altri ospiti e noi li abbiamo sempre trovati liberi e puliti ; )
Il personale molto gentile, pronto a dare consigli ma senza essere invadente. Noi siamo stati stupendamente. lo consiglio senza timore."

"Ik ben net terug van 6 dagen Barcelona! Ik heb in Casa Maca op de Carrer del Bruc mijn tijd doorgebracht. Het is echt een top B&B. Goede service! S'ochtends een all you can eat ontbijt. Niks over the top, maar meer dan genoeg en precies wat je nodig hebt. Brood, crackertjes, yoghurt, koffie, thee, chocolademelk, crueslie, verschillende jammetjes, kaas en vleesbeleg. Alles is ook elke dag weer netjes aangevuld. Daarna zelf je spulletjes afwassen is ook prima!
Onze kamer was echt heel erg fijn, ruim genoeg, lekkere bedden, mooie originele tegels. Ondanks dat er twee douches zijn voor 5 kamers hebben wij geen 1 keer hoeven wachtten voor de douche. Handdoeken worden niet elke dag ververst, maar als je dat wel wilt hoef je het alleen maar te vragen. Na de tweede dag kwam de dame van het huis het trouwens wel zelf aan ons vragen.
Heb voorheen gelezen dat het nogal rumoerig kan zijn, maar wij hebben er echt helemaal niks van gemerkt.
De locatie is top, het is een zijstraat van het mooie en chique Passeig de Gracia. Lopen naar Placa Cataluna is wel een dikke 20 minuten, maar voor de niet wandelaars onder ons, de metro stopt praktisch voor de deur.
Ik zou er voor de service, prijs en locatie zeker nog een keer willen verblijven als ik in Barcelona ben!!"

Super location, lots of walking, much visited, and another day snuggle baking. Once again the stay was excellent. I will soon return to a game of Fc Barcelona.

"Onze eerste reis met onze zoon (14 weken oud) is goed bevallen. Casa Maca ligt centraal in Barcelona, we hebben alles lopend gedaan.
Omdat ons zoontje al vroeg in bed ligt, hebben we 's avonds tapas gehaald bij de beneden buren (Tapa Madre) en deze genuttigd in de keuken.
Dat is wel lekker, er is een gezamenlijke keuken. Het ontbijt nuttig je dan ook meestal gezellig met de andere bewoners (in totaal 4 kamers).
De 2 badkamers zijn schoon.
De kamers zijn erg ruim en sfeervol ingericht."

"Das Hostel hat nur wenige,sehr schöne und recht großzügige Zimmer. Man kommt schnell in die Altstadt und hat eine zentrale Lage.
Gracia selbst ist auch sehr schön und nette Plätze und Gassen sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Betreuung war super freundlich
und serviceorientiert. Alles sehr sauber, Gemeinschaftsbad kein Problem."

"Bij aankomst werden we hartelijk welkom geheten. We hadden een kamer aan de straatkant. Gezellig ingericht,
met een stijl die past bij de omgeving waarin Casa Maca zich bevindt. Je kunt je inbeelden hoe het rond 1920
geweest moet zijn. Je maakt met vijf kamers gebruik van alle voorzieningen, dat bijdraagt aan een huislijkheid
van een appartement. Zelf je ontbijt verzorgen en daarna de afwas, is een prima huisregel. 's Avonds lekker op
het balkonnetje met een glas wijn, genieten van de geluiden van de stad. Op loopafstand van vele bezienswaardigheden.
Een plek om naar terug te komen."

heel gezellige nette kamer met airco en balkonnetje.....handdoeken gewoon vragen als je nieuwe wilt, er is altijd iemand aanwezig maar
misschien op haar kamer. Inderdaad, wat wil je nog meer voor dit geld? Dikke pluim dus!"

"Samen met mn dochter een paar dagen in Casa Maca gelogeerd. Geweldige plek, dichtbij metro en centrum.
Een letterlijk en figuurlijk warm welkom (kaarsjes aan) en mooie, gezellig ingerichte, schone kamers, nette badkamers en knusse keuken.
We hadden een prachtige kamer met balkon en mooie tegelvloer.
Elke ochtend een lekker ontbijtje.
Het was een relaxed rustpunt in het hectische geweldige Barcelona.

"Ik snap niet dat mensen over deze B&B zo zeuren.. Prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding is top! Kamers zijn prima, alleen wat warm door het ontbreken van de airco.
Locatie is perfect; echt maar een paar minuutjes lopen naar 3 verschillende metro stations. Voor een paar dagen vind ik dit echt een aanrader. Sommige
mensen willen gewoon altijd voor een dubbeltje op de eerste rij zitten."

I thought the the location was good because you were, when you knew how to walk, really close to everything and the hop on-hop off bus was around the corner. I find it extremely
nice that there is a kitchen I can use because eg I love to make myself a cup of tea when I get back in de evening. And the breakfast was plentiful. I will certainly tell my

"We've spent only couple of nights in this lovely B and B, but definitely wanna come again! Room was very nice and comfortable,
with a little balcony, that was useful as well. All that could have been needed - everything was there. Tourists should also
pay attention to the location. Casanova Guest house is quite close to most of attractions of Barcelona (we were walking mainly
and used bus only once or twice), that makes it the best choice. I can say, that small vacations we had there were really great
and both me and my friend enjoyed staying in Casanova so much!"
